Images of the 7 deadly sins I found. I thought they linked quite well to Dior as they are quite luxurious and grand dresses. I will use these images to gain inspiration for my photo shoot. From looking at the Avarice image the key points are gold, diamonds, thrown, lavish jewellery, which gives me the impression of wealth and money.
From this image representing sloth the key points were light blue, feathers, floaty, curly hair, bubbles and sat on a swing.

From this image representing Lust were red, revealing, fire and flowers

From this image representing gluttony the key points were pink, food, lace, wide dress, sat down.

From this image representing wrath the key points were dark red black, spiky, fire like hair, whip, thunder and devil like.

From this image representing Vanity the key points were purple, vanity mirror, gazing, flowing

From this image representing envy the key points were green, the snake, poison ivy and forest.

Ideas for my Professional project.

I have decided to study the iconic designer Christian Dior. I intend to research all aspects of the label and the changing nature of the design, what triggered the new look and the influence of other designers on the Dior Fashion House. Il study the spring/Summer collection for 2010 and look at the trends for the summer season.
I have chosen to base my photo shoot on the early years of Dior around the 1950s. Having looked at some photograph of this era the women seemed all perfect, sophisticated well groomed and in beautiful lavish places like Paris. In reality life for most is not like this. Therefore i have chosen to do my photo shoot in a dirty dark alleyway. I am thinking of using the idea of the 7 deadly sins as my concept. The idea that women are not these perfect people and we do sin. I would like the shoot to be quite dark and make Dior nasty rather than nice. I want to use extreme makeup rather than perfect and hair out of place a little like Galliano's couture spring/summer 2010 collection.
