We did research on the shakers. Their philosophy is necessary, useful and beautiful. We had to decide on our own philosophy, I chose art to hang on the body, not on the walls. For this project I looked at paintings that had inspired clothes for example the Mondrian painting and dresses, Klimt's work that has inspired many patterns. I tried to put this and work inspired by Givenchy into my designs. I looked at how clothes can look quite sculptural.
